In support of our mission, we design, develop, and deliver a variety of education, collaboration and action-oriented programs. All programs are brought to life in a highly collaborative manner with a diverse and growing list of project partners.

Your role

We are looking for an engaged and passionate Circular Economy and Sustainability Consultant to join our team.

As a Circular Economy and Sustainability Consultant, you will support the development and delivery of a number of engagement and capability building programs with industry and local government stakeholders.

You are an excellent communicator and group facilitator and have knowledge or experience in capacity building (training execution, online learning, and more). On the content level, you have a base understanding and high level of curiosity of the circular economy body of knowledge.

This role requires a background in project delivery. You will support Go Circular team in researching, identifying, and engaging potential collaboration partners for circular economy programs.

You are reliable and driven by a spirit of collaboration, constantly challenging yourself and others to innovate, while bringing quality to execution and delivery. You are practical and skilful, and eager to make an impact and scale it up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, Deliver and Facilitate circular economy workshops
  • Capability Building: Ongoing support in the improvement and contextualisation of circular economy program material.
  • Project Administration: Document and file program findings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead the identification and ongoing relationship management
  • Systems Thinking: See the bigger picture and help identify opportunities to compound impact that helps accelerate the transition towards a more circular economy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and project partners and promote a culture of empathy and understanding in all program activities.

Essential skills and competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Environmental Management, Sustainability, waste management or a related discipline;
  • 1-3 years of experience in project design, delivery and facilitate workshops
  • Relevant experience (1+ years) working with aspects of the circular economy and sustainability
  • Proven experience in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, networking, partnership, and relationship management at a senior level

Preferred skills and competencies

  • Experience designing, delivering and facilitating workshops and trainings to a variety of level stakeholders

What we offer you

  • For this role, we are offering an initial 6-month casual project based contract (14 hours a week), from April 2022, possibility of extending contract
  • Days of work: flexible
  • In depth training in the circular economy to help you build a foundation for future leadership in the transition to a more circular economy
  • Remuneration: $60,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus 10.5% superannuation

Internships

At Go Circular staff and interns work together to help deliver a range of circular economy services and projects.

Internships are unpaid voluntary positions.  They are often filled by students who are working towards or have completed an academic course of study and usually have a specific focus to complete a particular task or project.

At Go Circular, you’ll gain knowledge and experience in circular economy from our leading circular economy practitioners, and we hope that you will gain both personal and job satisfaction.
